No, I never got to see the Beatles; I didn’t even like them when they first came out - kids there listened to soul music exclusively when I was in junior high school. But it didn’t take too long for me to succumb to them like the rest of the world.
The first post-Beatles tour was George Harrison, and I saw his show a year or so before this, when the Wings Over America tour came to San Francisco.
The show was great and so was Paul; this was another case where I underexposed both the slides and the black and white negatives - even good photographers can have bad days! - but Photoshop to the rescue….
The main thing I remember from the show was being up towards the front (general admission) and when the lights went down, there was a surge of people such that I was lifted off my feet and did not come down again until I was about 15 feet away!
